Quality Assurance is given top priority at Action. Quality is assured at each step in the production process-- planning, supplier qualification for purchased parts and materials, inspection and surveillance over the manufacturing process and testing of finished products.
Precise chemical, mechanical and electronic tests assure that strict U.S. military standards are met. Resident U.S. Government inspectors are stationed in each facility. The company's documented quality control system is reviewed by the Government and complies with MIL-Q-9858, MIL-I-45208, MIL-STD-45662 and ANSI/NCSL 2540-1-1994.
At each working plant, mechanical, gage, electronic, chemical and environmental laboratories fulfill calibration, test and inspection requirements and provide instrumentation for all product lines.
Examples of tests conducted by Action's technicians include random and regular vibration, humidity, salt spray, high and low temperature, acceleration, jolt and jumble, drop, shock and combat conditions simulation.
Radiographic equipment is used to check assemblies for possible hidden flaws. All inspection and test equipment is regularly calibrated in accordance with MIL-STD-45662 and ANSI/NCSL 2540-1-1994. Operations are programmed for automatic operation, cycling and recording of test data.
Testing is performed by skilled employees who have graduated from accredited technical skill centers, received in-house training, and/or completed apprentice programs under the direct supervision of qualified instructors.
