A highly competent and well-staffed Engineering Department includes Engineers dedicated to designing new and improved products; and productions engineers committed to the design and fabrication of production tooling, machinery and test equipment.  These professionals work as a team to aggressively develop innovative ideas into functional hardware.

To support this staff, we maintain well-equipped and manned model shops as well as a diverse selection of precision fabricating and testing equipment in every plant.  Additional in-house capabilities include assembly, explosive and pyrotechnic formulation and loading as well as testing to military standards and specification requirements.

Committed to providing innovative engineering solutions to specialized problems, Action has the capabilities to effectively develop a variety of special ordnance devices, including fuzes, safe-and-arming devices, practice warheads, special rifle cartridges, practice ammunition, pyrotechnic delay mixes, explosive initiators and leads, impulse cartridges and delay detonators.

Ongoing research and development programs include low-cost metal and plastic practice ammunition, the complete redesign and modification of various existing fuzes, and electronic fuzes for the U.S. and friendly foreign governments.
